For over 30 years the Village of Chapel Glen has been the community of choice on Indy's far Westside. With a beautiful variety of mature trees, private walking paths, a community park, pool, tennis courts, and greenbelt, the "Glen" provides amenities for young families and retirees alike.

Chapel Glen residents are a closely-knit and active group. Community-involvement has long been what sets this community apart from others. Resident committees overseeing specific areas of concern such as the Greenbelt, Lake, Pool, and Welcoming offer residents a variety of opportunities to exercise their unique talents and interests.

The community building, affectionately called "the Clubhouse," offers meeting space for nearby Boy/Girl Scout troops, Kiwanis clubs, and the Glendoras - a neighborhood organization that provides service opportunities for the women of Chapel Glen. The clubhouse is also home to the Kiwanis Club of West Indy Families - a newly chartered Kiwanis club that is sponsoring a K-Kids Club at Chapel Glen Elementary School.

The elementary school is yet another of the great amenities within the Glen. Residents in the community have a very positive relationship with administrators and faculty within Chapel Glen Elementary. Chapel Glen residents enjoy the opportunity to be directly involved in the growth and educational experiences of their children.

Walk around the neighborhood and get to know the residents and one will discover that many of the current residents grew up in the Glen and chose to settle "back home" when they became adults and parents themselves. Many of these residents were once young members of the Chapel Glen Pool Sharks - our neighborhood swim team.

That's right. The Village of Chapel Glen has its very own youth swim team. The team is a member of a conference of other neighborhood/community swim teams that conduct swim meets during the summer and a season's-end swim conference. Each year approximately 80-100 children participate in a summer activity that offers the opportunity to make friends, get great exercise, learn the value of teamwork, have fun and maybe bring home a medal to hang on the bulletin board.

The Village of Chapel Glen is truly a unique community among those of the far Westside. The foundation of pride and commitment that has been built over the past three decades will support this community for the next 30 years and beyond.
